Technology, and what you're thinking?

The technology in this time is very important; this has entry too in our lives that it has converted in something indispensable, the technologies cover all range from knowledge, communication, education, entertainment, science and a lot of other areas. The society of this time is called the knowledge society, mainly because the technology and the access to it have open us the possibility of we have more access to information that in other times don't have. Also today the access to the information is very fast and cheap, this permit that the people are informed constantly over things that are happening in anywhere of the world. Is important too, the paper of the scientists and technologic advances has bettered the quality of life of the people, for example in areas as health, education, or integration with the other cultures.

From a beginning, the technology always has helped to men, for example, in the prehistory the technology was the reflect of the abstraction and the intelligent of the men that looking the examples and models in the nature made new tools for better live style. So we can understand that the concept technology cover or keeps integrated to the society, culture and environment.

So now we could think, what is the impact of the technology in the human activity? (as culture, society, and our relation with the world). Can we understand the positives or negatives changes that it have created? Or, what has been bettered, wors, valorized, our thinking can change with the technologies or new advances?

A lot of things, such as custom, beliefs religion, or the ethic self have been changed by cause of the new tech, so is this tool capable of reinvented our society and our world, are we seeing the true power that the technology gives to the humanity? are we using in the correct form this power or our society and the world have been lost the old ethical values, the family unity, and the balance with our environment?

The technology is a permanent revolution to the human existing, is this so a important factor for be considered in the next human evolution?

The objective of this little text is create or give a new vision about the paper of the tech in our lives, give to know the potential that we have in our hands and that many times we used of bad form.

Three Years after the End, True or False?

Hello Bloggers, Do you like my title?

Today I have the homework of write a post about the most impact new of the year. Really I think in a lot of news such as: when Obama was elected president of United States (it was this year?), the Michael Jackson’s death, or Chile go to South Africa, but the news that catch my attention in this moment for I am write for us, was ‘Two Moon’ and the ‘2012’ the movie.

This year the International Planetarium of Vancouver of British Columbia Canada calculated that on August 27^th Mars orbited very near our planet, so near that we could see two moon, this astronomic moment was sight in South Asia the August 30^th. (You can watch video in Youtube, just click here). The fact was predicted for the Mayas with similar precision. The astronomic fact won’t sight in more than 287 years.

Well, you are wondering, what want I say? This week was released ‘2012’ a movie about the end of the world, principally based on the Mayan prophecies (some as Christians apocalypses) but with a calendar support and hundred years of observation of the skies. They predicted that in the 2012 the world not end, but change to a new age more spiritual, so is real this ‘prophecies of the end of the world’. I do not know where born this idea, but the movie comes to feed this myth and the formula has well result.

In this decade exists a preoccupation for our world, for repair the damage that the humanity has done to our environment. And I believe that the prophecies and this movie come to realize a wake-up call about that we are doing.

A new important to me is considerer this fact that from some form reaffirm the Mayan culture, so if we (as humanity) become a best civilization (or not) our world even can be saved. Consciousness exists, but we needs more action. (If you want watch action, the movie is totally recommended).

Challenges In My Discipline

Hello classmates and bloggers, today I am going to talk about challenges in my career, I am studying Public Management, and in my career we use frequently the TICs, in english is called Information and Communication technologies, but in our education (course structure) we have to learn to use some computer programs and some subjects that we should use, for example statistics. And this class doesn’t teach it, so it is very difficult that we work with programs such as: SPSS, E-View, among other things. In this class we learn to use other programs like Excel, but this isn’t very modern nor very efficient.

So, I believe that the challenge of this career is to incorporate more technology in our professional training. We used the technologies in other class, for example English, Methodology, and no more subjects, but in subjects from the math area even they need to add more technologies.

In our future as public managers the technology can help to resolve the social problem, and for example, the studies about the population need that the investigators, public managers and other professionals work efficiently and the technology as tools can give it agility in the process.

The politics about public management in Chile have covered this matter, for example in the last decades, the public services have experimented the called ‘modernization of the state’. It is the incorporation of technology, technocrats to better the services, the process, the timeout and no only this, also in the last years, the greater investment in technology to public schools and hospitals to better the quality of public education and health, so the technology isn’t only important for my career but for all jobs.

More technologies entail training[1], but this also teach when you are professional should be taught in the school and the university, for example this are people in the university that don’t know all things that you can do with computer program very popular such as: Word, Power Point, etc. And it success because in the school, and the university don’t have got a subject specialty dedicated for it.

Hello classmates, today I’m going to talk about my faculty and my situation in it.
My faculty is called Government School, and it is in a very, very old building. The building is a historic monument and for us it is something that can be interesting, but it is a bit dangerous, because the structure looks very unsafe in case of an earthquake.

But in other things, it not only the building, but the services that this offer aren’t good or very comfortable, for example the lab room where the computers are, opens or is available in the afternoon, so this is so complicated for the students that do not have access to internet at home.

Also, the reading room closes very early, and I prefer to read my text or books here in my school than in my house, because this is a very quiet place and my house always has noise. And for example when I must to study some subject, in general my sister that is very little r maybe not, but she plays with much noise, shout for joy, and when she invite to her friend is unsupportable, but in occasions is very fun but when I don’t have thinks for study.

Well, the problem here is the timetables of availability for to do use of lab, library and reading room, it is operated until 4.30 pm and the class finish at 7.30 pm. So exist three hours lost or exist a contradiction in the offer of services, if you need a text for your class and the library is closed, what do you do? How can you work without it?

I believe that the solution is simple, only they must change the timetables and of this form the students can obtain much benefits for study or share time with your mates.

Actually the theme was taken for the mates that wanted to be elected such representative, because they like student know that a lot of students is complicated with it. Now are days with timetable until 7.30 pm.

Exist other problem in my faculty, for example the change of building or the re-estructuration of our subjects mesh but it is other story.

Hello bloggers... I don't know why my title is in Hindi.
Well... my title says: Free Time. Yes, because today I am goin' to talk about the free time and the technology.

Today, the technology exists for everything, for example do a task now takes much less time than before the invent the internet, with this tool, the time to find the information needed is less, however it is too much information to process, and perhaps that is now a new obstacle in time. But, my question is: used the people better the time with all technology exists today?. For example, if the people used the time for they practice some sport, read or share with your family.

Now, I for example have all night and friday free, but in the week my nights are for my studies, so my free day is the friday and sometimes my weekends. And I believe that I don't use my time of a good form. Maybe I listen to music, or I practice sports, but exist things that maybe escape this.

For example in the Old Greece, the free time was used for philosophize and I believe that I don't this, but this not mean that I don't think in important thing... Know you? I lost my idea until writing. Ahh!! I remember…

In the Old Greece: ‘the free time is the origin of the all vices’ and is phrase is true, in the truth the vices are development because we have a lot of free time, but exists vices that don’t need free time for do it, for example: smoke, or eat guilty pleasure. I love chocolate, but isn’t my vices. The free time permit think in various some, in big things, or ideas, for example I believe that the free time permits think in a big science theory, or geographic discovery. If I have more free time and a lot of money I travel for the world or I could write a book or tales, because I really like write, but I don’t organize very good my time, maybe is caused because the technology and some website make me lose my time in silliness.

Well… now I leave this post, because I must study for a test of accounting.

This week I go to talk about a new from The Guardian, a new of United Kingdom about an area connected with my career, for example politics, business or education.

Well, I saw a new about the unemployment, in UK now (post-recession). The unemployment rose a number by less of the hope by the economist, it is very well, because mean that the economy is better.

Since sixteen mounth that the unemployment didn't rise a good number. Among other thing, the news had a balance about the crisis. They called it the worse since the second wars, beside this news said about the people more affected to cause of unemployment, such a black man and beside it shows that the men have seen more affected that the women.

In a first time, we can see a racial problem. The goverment are continuing the inversment even during the face deepest moment of recession and the result are visible, the youth employment are growing, well I learn in my class of macroeconomic, that for a country go out from under (a crisis), the goverment must help to consume of the people, for this form to cause a increment in the production and so the company claim for more workers.

So, this process is been used for the UK's goverment and other country. Is very interesting to see that I learn something that is real and it is a good solution for the social problem.

Importance of Sport

Hello today my work is tell about sport and its importance to individual and to a nation.

Personally I practice sport, I am swimming in my university and I like to ride a bicycle and sometimes I skate, is very fun and healthy. I think that the practice of some sport or other psychical activity is very necessary to our body and our mind, because the sport helps to we for distract of the problem, the work, the stress, and we can became more integrals if we encourage our mind and body.

The sport has very property to we. Among other things it helps to our system muscular, cardiac, nervous, osseous, also this keeps you with a balance weigh. In the psychical area, the sport helps to self-esteem, to sociability with other people and the environment.

For a nation the sport is very important, because for example, it is used for rehab, or encourage a health activity in marginal areas and just among other things, because the sport to sold a image country worried for their people.

In Chile during the last years began a national plan for incentive to people to do sport, for example, today have cycle lane, new stadium, more sport program finances for the state, and I believe that the nation is invest more financing in this area. Is important too that the old people practice sport or dance, may be more convenient for they.

Actually some activity are considered like sport, but in my opinion this isn’t a sport, for example popular activity such as ‘rodeo’ en Chile or ‘corridas de toro’ en España, or the hunting, dogfight, etc. I believe this activity damage the animals and is not health to our body or mind.

Me and Santiago

Hello classmates and bloggers, today I will speak about my city, Santiago de Chile. I was born in Santiago, and I had life all my life in this city, actually I studied in this city. My city is very beautiful, interesting, and to me, Santiago always has been unknowed, this always have something new, a new place, building, and so on.

In Santiago I moved between different places, but the places more visited for me are malls, because this have a lot of shops, such as restaurants, cinema, music shop, 'fun center' among other things. Other places that I visit but with not frequently are 'Fantasilandia', this is a funfair, the Zoo too, and I very like it because I love the animal, my favorite zoo are Buin Zoo and Zoo of Santiago, I visit it in summer. Well, Santiago has a lot of interesting places.

For example, a foreign tourist visit Santiago, in my opinion he must visit the center of city, because here are the historic built, that show our history, but is interesting too because show the contrast with the modern built, the modern Chile.

Other historic places, and very interesting to a tourist is know the 'Cementerio General' that is a cementery, very beautiful and loaded of stories. Is ideal visit it in the night, I believe that the fear add something very special of the story teller. Maybe this places is very dismal, but I like it.

If the tourist wants know other tipic builts, he can visit the Goverment Palace, or ex-Parlament, but if wants adventures, he can go to sky center 'Valle Nevado' or can do rafting in San José de Maipo, in the south-west near to Santiago.

If you have children, you can visit the Zoo, where you can see native species and 'international' animal. The children are enchanted with puma, pudú, and the other animals.

Music Again!!

Hello classmates and bloggers, today I am going to tell you about music.
For me, music is very important, because it is the soundtrack of my life, I think that all people have their own soundtrack.

My favorite kinds of music are pop, rock, latin. I have a blog dedicated to my favorite songs, in that blog I upload some ranking, for example. It is very good fun, and I do it in my free time or when I don't have homework.

I listen to this music for different moods, when I am happy, sad, bored or nostalgic, I listen to music to change my mood or to get into this feeling.

My favorite songs are downloaded from programs such as Ares, Youtube or other, but I don't remember the name now. Ares is very fast, but it downloads a lot of computer viruses, so I changed to Youtube, in U-tube, you can write the name of the song that you want, with the words: ''download''. And always you find the song that you want to hear.

I follow some artist, but I'm not a really fan of some artist, for example, I like a singer, but I like his music, I don't interested in his life detail, his scandals... yes, because is a fun gossip. My favorite pop star Britney Spears, in the rock, my favorite band are: Staind, Coldplay, My Chemical Brothers, and my latin favorite artists are: Shakira, Alex Ubago, La Oreja de Van Gogh, and a lot of spanish artist and band.

I hear this artist because they and their music accompany me in my different times of my life, moods, and special moments.

For example I use music to when I do different things, to study or when I am doing a homerwork or paper, I usually hear latin music, because is generally slow, like ballads. Sometimes I heard english ballad too, so I can be quiet working. When I am happy, I hear pop, dance or other kind of music, I like the percussion in the music, and when I am sad I hear rock music or ballad, because is more intense.

The music isn't just an accompaniment in my life, because this save my best/worse times of my life. I don't know that I am doing without music.

My TranSantiago Experience

Hello classmates and bloggers, today I must tell you about my opinion of Transantiago, the public transport system in my city, 'Santiago de Chile'.

I had never used public transport, but when I began to go to Pre-U, I had to learn to use this system, and this year the transantiago began too. It was very complicated in that moment, because I didn't have idea about this system, I just knew about it by the news, bad news.

I remember that I leaved from pre-u in the night, and the bus delayed very much. The system was very disorganized and a madness. A year later, the system was better, or I believe it. Maybe was because I went to class in the University in the afternoon, so in that hours the bus and Metro was free. But the problem began in the night again.

The bus was few by a lot of people. The demand was biggest. The minister said ''the public transport keeps getting better, more busses and more exclusive road by its''. The system really looked better, but even lacked.

This year, I think that system to be better. Now the number of busses is greater, and the exclusive road by busses helps very much, because the trip is faster. The metro in the morning keeps full, and the trip on it, is very uncomfortable.

I would like some changes in the transports system (busses and subway) for that better. For example, more transport culture for the people, more busses on the street, more frecuently.

United Arab Emirates: My Only Wish

Hello bloggers and classmates, today my worl is to speak about a place or country that I really want to know, to discover, and maybe to live a days there.

The country of my dreams, is United Arab Emirates, maybe you know by its famous capital city, Dubai. I really had wanted to travel there, because is a country and culture very interesting, is a ideal mix between the east and west world.

I knew United Arab Emirates (UAE) watched Discovery Channel, in a tv program called 'Megaconstructions'. In this program had a special dedicated to Dubai, this city is very rich, and actually Dubai is considered the future city. Its builts are very ambitious, for example the city have the Burj Dubai Tower, this tower is the higher in the world. Also, there will be built the new tower that will be moved with the wind.

Maybe, the structures more famous are the Palms Islands and the World, are artificial islands, all a challenger for its architect.

Why I chose Dubai? This city and this country is a financial center very important for Middle East, is a pacific country, and a place very nice and interesting for you can go of holidays, to work, to study or to live. Actually exist a program for you can go to work there.

My dream is know in live Dubai, maybe like students, or worker (diplomatic or other), but a holidays there must are incredible. The city have the bigger mall in the World. Ahahaha..

I'm Back Here!!

Hello, in my last post I said ''this is not the final'' and I have the reason.

Today, I'm back to write in this blog, for one thing, my new english class, new level, I don't know how it'll be. I must confessed that I'm a few scared.

But for to start a new life or something new, is very good that you do a flashback. Why?

Because you can save the best moment and forget the bad times. Or I believe this.

In the last semester, I learned a lot of things, new people, friends, teachers, subjects, and entertaiment thing and thing very boring. I had incredibles group work, and the tematics was interesed for me, for example, to Theory of the Science, we did a paper about surrealism, I like this art tendency and worked was entertaiment, maybe this is not a ''public management'' topic, but I believe that is good get over the common thing and have a good time.

''Have a good time'' should be that you practice some sport, for example, the last semester I began to go to swimming pool, the true is I know to swim, but now I learned more, also the sport helps to your health.

And.. among other things, I wrote for fist time a blog in english, this was all challenger for me, because is very difficult to write in other language, and I believe that I forget it, but the practice will help me.

A final idea, in my class I'm with my friends and new people. I hope that the class is a nice experience.

My Ideal Job

Hello, today I will speak about my ideal job. It is very difficult that I think in its, because... I do not know that I would be.

But... The crazier ideal jobs that I have thought are... YouTube star, ahhaha.. or singer, but the most realistic is will be a photographer. I can not be a YouTube star, because I should that to have speciall abilities, and I believe that I don not have this specialty. And I will be singer is impossible because and I do not know sing. :'(.

If I were a photographer only I needed a camera, battery, and a good catch. Also I like catch a good photos and this is my favorite hobby until that my camera died. Is awful. I think that the skills for to be photographer is to have a camera in the right time, and to catch a beutiful moment (or polemic moment). Ahahaha. I like this job because is very relaxing, is free, and very own.

This kind of job is not difficult find it like hobby. But is very difficult to gain money, because today, the Photography is not a professional career, maybe the paparazzis only reach to gain money for us polemic photo, but this do not interesting me.

Hello!! Today I am going to talk about Education and Creativy from conference of Sir Ken Robinson called ''Do school kill creativy?'' of 2006.

He criticized the educational American system. Do school kill creativy? for Ken the system educational prefers is teaching more subject such as math, language until the humanist art and music.

These ultimate subjects are important, because we help to develop flair and other quality or we give our the possibility of that we can expressing in freedom.

Actually the educational system are killed the creative preferring scientists subjects, and we need a integral education, because we are falling in the contemporary dark age. The human education must have subject that us meeting with the spirituality, arts, nature and not only give us a material vision of the world and we.

Ken give the example ``a child draw a God, but his teacher question him why draw a God?’’ … God can be draw??...

Is imagination vs. the establishing. The school and university are the best place for change this system.

My Natural Country

Our legislation should put emphasis on creating a new environmental policy to encourage its legal and institutional framework. After a long time we hope to have a Ministry of the Environment, and although we are seeing progress in these areas, is important that we keep getting better in this materia.

We need more transparent information, giving space to reports and work with the community. These are facts as Pascua-Lama and Hydro-Aysén that we show how studies of environmental impact assessment (SEIA) are not considered or seen as a tape which always earns more commercial vision taht the environment and people.

Actually there are 'Public-Private Tables' to promote dialogue between representatives of both areas and discuss the SEIAs. These tables are integrated with representatives of CONAMA, and the CNC (National Chamber of Commerce) among other.

This Tables are including other institutions related to trade development. It is strange and unreliable that the Table, discuss the SEIA and its quality (more business vision that enviroment vision).

A change in this politics, will generate more citizen participation, transparency and reliability of the information, more consideration to the SEIA, higher penalty in case of company are violating the law.

My BFF

Hello, today I want to speak about my Best Friends Forever. They are Macarena and Patricio, we were friend from the school. I met Patricio when I was in third of the primary, We were classmates until I went to other school. I met Macarena on first of the secundary in my new school, we were classmates and we were sitting together.

In third of the secundary, Patricio had some problems, and he went to my school. So, Macarena, Patricio and Me became the best friends until now. We have a lot of thing in common, such us music style, our mood and humor, hobbies, favorite movies, and a lot of other things.

I like my best friends because I have a great time when I am spending my time with them, playing games, hunging out, eating tasty food, watching a good movie.

Some experiences with they... I remember we used to skip classes, English and Spanish Class. I guess that is the reason because I'm taking english lessons now at the university (thanks friends). I also remember our teachers used to make us live the classroom because of our laugh attacks, they were too contagious and distractive for the rest of the class.

Dear Blanca and Ñañusca

Hello, I'm Juan Antonio and this happy minute I'm to talk about my pets.

In my house there are two dogs, Blanca and Ñañusca, I sometimes call them rabbit or teddy bears as cuddle.

Blanca is the oldest, it is 5 years old, it was born on July 13, but she came to my house the last week of August in 2003. Ñañusca is 2 years old, she is the niece of Blanca, because she is the daughter of a sister from the same litter that Blanca.

Ñañusca is the most loving and playful and Blanca is a bit grumpy but both are very loved and they are part of the family.

The photo is when Ñañusca (Ñañuskitty of cuddle) arrived to my house and my family. I think when I look this picture that Blanca say: ''What is it?, Is a plush for my?''

Today, I speak about a song. I don't know that song is my favourite, but the song I choose I very like it. The song is called "So Far Away" by Staind from then album '14 Shades Of Grey' released on 2003 and was #1 on Billboard 200. This song was #24 on Billboard Hot 100, but #1 on Modern Rock Track.

The true is that I heard this song a long time later on 2005.
I did have that sing a song for my English class. When I look a song for singing, I found a video music, was So Far Away.

The song catch me, I like it immediatly. I have found the song for sing in my class. What said the lyrics from this song? I really don't know. Until today.

The lyrics tell about the growth of a person in his life. And the music from this song, I like too is a mix between rock and ballad kept very good, for me. For both reasons, I like it.
I sang So Far Away, and for my surprise, to my teacher was Staind's fan. Ooh!.. He like it too.

Well... I believe that you know whom was my mark for sing with a fan as teacher.

I Like Tech

I love technologies, and today, a news very important get to me. Today is Nokia's 5800 unreleased, this phone, is more music player that phone, like to me, I like music, this phone is a dream.
We can save 6000 songs in 8 GB!!, Nokia 5800 Xpress Music have a powerful speaker for that we have a musical experience really. I like cellphone technology, actually this phone, we can used by speak, chat, met people, listen music, watch videos, make movies and bloopers, and record a conversation, a bored class, etc.

I haven't this mobil phone... :'( , but I want to have it.

For now, I can listen to music in my PC and speak by my phone. A both I used very much, when I 'study' in the computer I listen music too. All time. But I used my phone by call my friends and parents wery little time, I prefer used it for listen music, and take photos.

My mobil phone I acquerid it, when the battery of my last cellphone died on April. That phone was my first cell, and gave it during my b'day on July, 2005, now that bad I miss it. And my first computer, we acquerided when I was 5 years old, and this moment, we (I and my computer) was inseparables.

Ahaha... I like both because I can to used their for my entertaiment, study, chat, make videos, take photos, sail on internet, met people, play with my brothers, and a lot more thing. My life without would awful, very bored, without plays, music, and without I can speak with the world!!

I hope that this never ever happen.

My Career

I study public management on University of Chile, I chose this career, because I like its syllabus is very comprehensive, because have management, mathematics, sociology, statistics, and a little of history, and philosophy.

And because in my future, I will work with people, or making public policies, although I would be diplomatic or ambassador in Dubai, UAE (in the photo) or India and other countries with an exotic culture for me and my life. The Assian culture is very interesting its tradition, religion, architecture, and I would like to learn the language of other people in the world, are something to catch my attention.

The professional of the Public Management are contributing for the developt of the countries, their economy, and in the people's quality of life keeps getting better. For we can achieve this objetives, we need tools as a good academic preparation and comprehensive, with technic values, human and ecological values, until state's resource with people's participation.

Well, going back to myself, my favourites subjects are Theory of the Science, Management, and Language. I don't like to study Law, because is very boring. Well, theory is boring too, but is a little more interesting, because have something of physics, biology, and other sciences.

If you question me Do you like your career? My answer now is so - so, but I like result and its finish.
